Who This Service May Help

Hydrotherapy may be appropriate for people recovering from orthopaedic procedures, managing arthritis, neurological conditions, or chronic pain where land-based exercise is difficult. The buoyancy of water reduces joint load while still allowing effective movement.

Conditions commonly assessed include:

  • Post-surgical orthopaedic rehabilitation
  • Osteoarthritis and joint pain
  • Neurological rehabilitation
  • Chronic pain management
  • Balance and falls prevention
  • Conditions where weight-bearing is limited

This list is not exhaustive. Please contact us if you are unsure whether this service may be appropriate for your condition.

What to Expect

Sessions are conducted in a heated hydrotherapy pool under physiotherapist supervision. Exercises are individually tailored and progress at a pace suited to your condition. Your physiotherapist will discuss what to wear and what to bring ahead of your first session.

Fees are discussed at the time of booking and at your first appointment. We accept Medicare (Chronic Disease Management Plan), WorkCover, TAC, NDIS, and private health insurance via HICAPS. Please call us on (03) 9969 3633 to discuss your specific circumstances or eligibility for rebates.
